Desktop, Laptop, and Tablet PC Minimum Requirements:
Sevocity requires a PC that has the following minimum system requirements:
Intel Pentium 4 processor or equivalent, 1GHz or faster
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Apple OS X 10.5 64-bit and higher
1 GB RAM (3GB Recommended)
150 MB available disk space
1024 X 768 SVGA monitor
Ink Jet or Laser Printer, Twain compliant scanner
Wireless network recommended if Laptop or Tablet PC is utilized.
Tablet PC Recommendations:
The Tablet PC comes in two basic forms: The Slate style (no attached keyboard) and the Convertible style (attached keyboard) both of which work equally well with Sevocity. It has been our experience that Sevocity runs most effectively on any Tablet PC with an Intel processor including: Pentium 4, Pentium 4-M, and Centrino brands.
Netbook Recommendations:
All Netbooks should work with Sevocity. However, the minimum recommended screen resolution is 1024 x 768.
Apple iPad:
Sevocity is not currently supported on the iPad due to the iPad's lack of support for Java. However, the iPad may be used as a remote desktop (with Sevocity running on the background on another PC). The iPad will be supported in a future release. Several slate computers similar in size, weight and functionality to the iPad are available that run the Windows operating system. Sevocity is supported for such slate computers.
Windows 8:
Sevocity does work with Windows 8 as long as it’s a full version of Windows, e.g. Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 Enterprise. In addition to Windows 8, there's a new version of Windows called Windows RT that runs on some tablets and PCs. This version of windows does not work with Sevocity.
Also be aware that some scanner and printer drivers are not yet available for Windows 8 by the device manufacturer. Please contact Customer Support if you have any questions.
Internet Minimum Requirements:
Cable, DSL, T1, or better Internet connection. "Business Class" DSL or cable is normally sufficient for a small to medium sized office. For larger offices Sevocity will make Internet recommendations based upon practice size and other factors.
Interface Requirements:
Practice Management and other systems that do not use Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) will require a small local server which may be configured and supplied by Sevocity.
Uploaded File Limitations:
Sevocity does not limit the total amount of storage, including uploaded files, and there is no extra charge for storage.
Individual files are limited to 2 MB for .PDF files and 500k for all other file types. DICOM links are available to facilitate linking to PACS and other systems more appropriate for storing large images.
